Before Fame

He appeared in the 1990 film, Lord of the Flies, as the protagonist Ralph. Prior to filming, he broke his arm, but the producers wanted him badly enough to film with him wearing a cast for large parts of the movie.

He helped run The Lunchbox Fund, which helped students gain proper nutrition in South Africa. His nickname is Balty. He has been a fashion model for Versace, Calvin Klein, and Tommy Hilfiger.

He married Rosetta Millington in 2000. His children are Cassius Paul, Violet, Grace, and June Catherine.
