JoJo Siwa went 'psycho' filming mentally grueling reality show

JoJo Siwa has opened up about the mentally grueling conditions filming the Fox show, Special Forces: The World’s Toughest Test, as she joined a star-studded cast including Vanderpump Rules’ Tom Sandoval, and Chrisley Knows Best’s Savannah Chrisley.

The 20-year-old is making her return to TV this month, after starting her career on TLC’s Dance Moms, at just nine years old. However, it seems like her latest reality TV stint may be a little bit different, as the show promises “some of the harshest, most grueling challenges from the playbook of the actual Special Forces selection process.”

JoJo Siwa went ‘psycho’ filming Special Forces

The Dance Moms star hasn’t become a successful music and TikTok star without sheer determination, and it looks like that’s transferred over in her role on Bear Grylls’ show, which she took very seriously. Even putting her co-stars in their place if they weren’t pulling their weight.

“I was psycho. I would stand at the door and be like, ‘Nick, your bottom left button. Tyler, your right shoe. Phone… Not phone. Instead of phone, wallet, keys, you say hat, gloves, armband. Your zipper’s undone. Your button’s undone. Everyone, we’re wearing this, this and that,'” she told PEOPLE, referring to the Bachelor’s Nick Viall and Tyler Cameron.

Despite JoJo Siwa‘s orders, the three have now become incredibly close, as she told the publication she doesn’t know what she would do without the pair:

“We all got super close, but definitely Nick and Tyler is who I was like, ‘Thank God I have these people here. Because if I didn’t have y’all, nah.'”

The 20-year-old also appeared on Nick Viall’s podcast, The Viall Files, where she got candid about the hardest thing about being famous.

In a recent Instagram post, the Boomerang singer posted a picture of the three back together, calling them her ‘chosen family’ in the caption:

“If someone told me a year ago that these 2 boys would become such a massive part of my life I would’ve never believed you…. Special Forces brought us together just a few months ago and mannnn am I grateful.

“For these 2 AND for the rest of the chosen family gained from forces, a bond that will last for life!!”

The star’s castmates are like ‘family’

It’s not just Nick and Tyler whom JoJo has become extremely close to since joining the show. Recently, she was spotted out celebrating with the rest of the cast, as she was papped arm in arm with Vanderpump ‘villain’ Tom Sandoval.

Siwa opted for comfort on this night out as she wore a cozy co-ord with bright green socks. A mood! Sharing the pic to her Instagram story, the star wrote: “Family”.

Posting a picture of the two to her Instagram, Savannah called JoJo a ‘complete badass’ as she posed in some ultra-cool cameo pants.

“Never a dull moment!! God is good! Blessed to call the cast of @specialforcesfox friends for LIFE!! @itsjojosiwa is a complete and total badass!! Y’all tune in SEPTEMBER 25TH!”
