She rose to fame as a songwriter who has collaborated with Christina Aguilera, Jesse McCartney, Britney Spears, Pink, Meat Loaf, and many others. In addition, she is as a head judge on the Bravo singer-songwriter competition series Platinum Hit in 2011.
