Who's who in the second season?

Today is the day, Surviving Summer fans! The second season is finally streaming on Netflix, and we get to see the return of our favorite rebellious NYC teen Summer Torres, and her surfer friends Down Under. If you’re looking forward to watching Surviving Summer season 2, then we must share with you the names of all the returning and new cast members. In fact, we’ll take it a step further and give you a breakdown of who’s who in the second season as well.

Obviously, Sky Katz comes back as the main character, Summer Torres. As mentioned above, Summer’s friends that she meets in Australia also return in the second season. This means you can expect to see Kai Lewins, Lilliana Bowrey, Joao Gabriel Marinho, and Savannah La Rain reprise their roles.

There are also many more familiar faces from the first season that come back for Surviving Summer season 2. But who’s new this season? Who’s making waves and causing trouble for Summer and Co?

Without further ado, here’s a cast and characters guide to Surviving Summer season 2!

When we meet Summer in the first season, she’s been expelled from another elite private school in New York City. Her mom is fed up with her rebellious ways and decides to send her off to the small town of Shorehaven to stay with her old friend and her family. Initially, all Summer wants to do is go back home to New York when she arrives in the small surfer town, but eventually, she forms a close bond with her childhood friend Ari and his friends. At the end of the first season, she returns back to NYC.

In Surviving Summer season 2, a year has passed and Summer has finally made her way back to Shorehaven. But this time around, she’s taking surfing seriously. She strives to make the State Team and compete in Nationals like Ari and the rest of her surfer friends. But it’s not going to be easy for Summer with the State Team captain aka Ari’s new girlfriend not liking her.

When Summer comes to stay with Ari and his family in season 1, Ari doesn’t initially want anything to do with her. He’s motivated and focused on being the best surfer he can be and achieving his dreams. However, Summer begins to slowly grow on him and he eventually finds himself liking her as more than a friend. Sadly, Summer has to go back to New York at the end of the season, and their blossoming romance ends up going nowhere.

In Surviving Summer season 2, Ari has a new girlfriend. But with the return of Summer, things become complicated quickly.

When we meet Bodhi in season 1, she wasn’t the most confident surfer. She always felt like she came second to her best friend Poppy. But as the season went on, we saw her grow more confident in her surfing skills. Now in season 2, Bodhi is more focused and determined than ever to achieve her goals. But she finds herself having to figure out who her real friends are when she befriends a new surfer to Shorehaven. She also has a new love interest this season.

In Surviving Summer season 1, we learn that Marlon moved to Shorehaven from Brazil to pursue a surfing career. He and Ari don’t get along at the beginning of the season because of an incident that happened a year ago that left Ari critically injured. However, they eventually make up. Marlon and Bodhi get together in the first season, but end up breaking up after Bodhi realizes that she and Marlon aren’t compatible.

In Surviving Summer season 2, Marlon has feelings for someone else and he’s willing to do anything to be with them. But when it comes to his surfing career, things aren’t looking too great at the beginning of the season.

Poppy’s dream is to be the world champion when it comes to surfing and she remained focused on achieving this goal throughout the first season. However, in Surviving Summer season 2, Poppy decides to let her hair down and have some fun after she starts to feel like what’s going on in her life is too much to handle. She has a new love this season but becomes less focused on her surfing competitions.

Wren is a new character in Surviving Summer season 2. She’s a talented surfer, having won Nationals for her and her previous team three years in a row. However, she and her siblings suddenly moved to Shorehaven after an incident. She becomes the team captain of the Victorian State Team in Shorehaven and immediately bumps heads with Summer when she arrives. Oh, and we forgot to mention that she’s Ari’s new super-controlling girlfriend.

Baxter is Wren and Elo’s black sheep brother. He’s cocky, rebellious, and a lone wolf. When he meets Summer, he’s instantly attracted to her and makes it his mission to get her to feel the same way.

Elo is Wren and Baxter’s older sister and the new coach of the Victorian State Team in Shorehaven. Elo’s goal is to beat her old team, the Queensland team, and she’ll go to great lengths to make this happen.
