Who stars in the HBO series?

On the heels of adding Ballers and Insecure, Netflix has added another popular and acclaimed HBO show to its catalog. The war drama miniseries Band of Brothers is streaming now and is sure to become another big hit for the streamer despite its age. Band of Brothers has long been considered one of the best shows of all time and if Suits is any indication, even older shows can have a huge moment once added to Netflix.

For those unfamiliar with Band of Brothers, the 2001 series is about the 506th Regiment of the 101st Airborne Division known as Easy Company, part of the U.S. Army. Featuring an all-star cast that features actors like Tom Hardy, Tom Hanks, Damian Lewis, Michael Fassbender, James McAvoy, Andrew Scott, and more, Band of Brothers is a riveting ten-part series chronicling the experiences of the men in Easy Company, based on real interviews from the survivors.

Because the HBO show features such a large ensemble cast, it can be hard to keep tabs on everyone you see on-screen. Below we’re going over the main cast members and more! Keep reading to find out who stars in the show.

Despite only consisting of ten episodes, Band of Brothers boasts a huge cast of characters with dozens of notable actors. As a large ensemble, it’s hard to go over every single actor, as even if they only appear in a scene or two, everyone was bringing their A-game to this show. There is a good reason it won the Golden Globe and Emmy Award for Best Miniseries when it premiered.

Some of the people you might recognize in the cast include Oz alum Kirk Acevedo or The Walking Dead‘s Michael Cudlitz. Cudlitz plays Staff Sergeant Denver “Bull” Randleman, while Acevedo portrays Staff Sergeant Joe Toye. Friends actor David Schwimmer also makes a dramatic turn in this show as Captain Herbert Sobel and he’s joined by Homeland and Billions alum Damien Lewis, who takes on the role of Major Richard “Dick” Winters.

A few of the actors who are now big-name stars, like Tom Hardy and James McAvoy, only appear in minor roles on the show. Remember, Band of Brothers initially debuted in 2001, so a lot has changed since then. It’s still fun to watch the show and see how many faces you recognize, especially of stars who went on to become A-listers!

Here’s the cast list for the main members of the show’s ensemble:
